Brainstorm ideas that would make the Turku campus area the best place in Finland to study and work! Generate completely new ideas about services and operations in the region, or solve a current problem. The purpose of the contest is to find ideas, not finished solutions. Permits, traffic arrangements, structural details and similar issues can be overlooked in this contest.
There are three challenges in the contest: Create & Learn, Connect & Find and Inspire & Enjoy. Respond to one of these challenges with your contest proposal, or Surprise us and come up with an idea that combines the different challenges!
It is possible to enter the contest in two different ways:
1 Snap your campus
Send us a quick “snap” idea through social media! Use the hashtag #kampusupgrade and tag @kampusupgrade to your post! Please note that your social media profile must be public to enter the contest.
2 Craft your campus
Design a more elaborate plan of how to improve the Turku campus area! Entries are handed in on the competition website by filling in the entry form. Five of the best ideas are called to the finale, where they are pitched to our jury. All 5 finalists will receive a cash prize!
Instructions for the finale (coming up)
The contest is open for everyone! You can enter the contest as an individual or as a group. It is also possible to submit more than one contest proposal.
The contest is targeted especially to Finnish and foreign students, who visit the campus area daily and use the services and facilities of the area frequently. The contest is also intended for businesses and operators that work or produce services in the area, as well as service designers and architects who have an interest towards community planning.
